AWIPS OB3 Training

To support the fielding of AWIPS software Operational Build 3 (OB3), WDTB has prepared a recorded presentation on OB3 enhancements and changes to radar and warning functionality. This training does not address OB3 versions of the Watch Warning Advisory (WWA), Warngen, or Local Storm Report (LSR) software. Some of the material in the presentation summarizes information in the RPG Build 5 Training.

Instructions

Presentation: The presentation takes approximately 28 minutes, and can be paused and restarted at any point. After viewing the presentation, return to this page to take the optional quiz.

Presentation System Requirements: To view the presentation, you will need Macromedia Flash 5 or higher. The presentation should work in many browsers, but we recommend using Internet Explorer, version 6 or higher. Quiz: A short quiz is available. The quiz requires 5-10 minutes to complete, and is optional, but recommended.  Scores from the quiz are not retained by WDTB.
