Radar Product Generator (RPG)
The Radar Product Generator (RPG) is a multi-function unit that ingests and processes the base data received from the Radar Data Acquisition Unit (RDA) via wideband communications. A suite of base and derived products is generated by the RPG. The NWS radar operator controls the RPG using the Master System Control Function (MSCF). The RPG then distributes the products to the different users through a variety of product distribution communications.
