Where:

Vmax = maximum unambiguous velocity

Greek symbol lambda = radar wavelength

PRT = pulse repetition time (s) = 1/PRF

This is an alternate way to compute the maximum unambiguous velocity, or Vmax. Vmax can also be determined by dividing the wavelength (Greek symbol lambda) by 4 times the pulse repetition time (PRT).
