Equation 5: Conversion of Reflectivity (Z) to Decibels of Reflectivity (dBZ)

Z = target reflectivity

dBZ = decibels of reflectivity

This says that to get decibels of reflectivity, or dBZ, you simply multiply 10 times the log-base-10 of the reflectivity.
