Vmax = maximum unambiguous velocity

Greek symbol lambda = radar wavelength

PRF = pulse repetition frequency (s-1)

This tells us how to compute the maximum unambiguous velocity, or Vmax. Vmax can be determined by multiplying the wavelength (Greek symbol lambda) by the pulse repetition frequency (PRF) and dividing by 4.
