With the release of the AWIPS OB8.2 build training on FSI/EAV (Estimated Actual Velocity tool), some people are having trouble playing the videos in this training. The problem results from the Flash plug-ins being copied to older version of a particular web-browser.
We have updated the installation instructions Page 9 (Steps 9 and 10) of the Install Instructions to further clarify how to install the Flash player.
- Be sure your WES 8.2 has the latest patches installed - Confirm the <case>/tstorm directory exists in your case - Run a full localization and a -scan localization on your case - Examine the <case>/tstorm/scanBackupRadarList.txt file. FSI only recognizes those radars with a 1 in the third column. If your file contains 2's or 3's, replace each of these with a 1. More information can be found in the FSI section of the WES install instructions.
System patches with Kernel Updates can create problems for the WES machine that require a recompile of the graphics driver. Please follow these instructions for testing and recompiling your video driver.
