Note: It is important that everyone using WES72 install this patch

Problem:

In the localization code, there is a binary executable that is creating the /data/fxa/tstorm/FFMPradarToCWA.txt file incorrectly with a funky binary character at the end of file. This causes the grep command in /awips/fxa/bin/createFFMPsupFile.csh to fail to retrieve the CWA id from the file correctly. As a result localizations with the -scan switch are failing and returning numerous error messages

By installing this patch, a -scan localization will automatically check this file and alter if necessary to allow for a clean localization.

Solution:

• Follow this link to download the patch tar file: Download WES72_patch2.tar.gz
• tar -xvzf WES72_patch2.tar.gz   (anywhere on the WES machine)
• cd WES72_patch2
• ./WES72_patch2.csh (Runs a script which automatically updates a WES software file)
