WES 8.2
NewsWES 8.2 FSI Performance IssuesIf you are experienceing sluggish FSI performance, you may need to recompile your video driver. Please follow these instructions for testing and recompiling your video driver. WES 8.2 UpdateAs of February 20, all WES users should have:
WDTB shipped a WES8.2 DVD (dated Dec 6) to all NOAA affiliates. Unfortunately some of these DVDs were unuseable. As a result, WDTB reshipped a WES8.2 DVD (dated Dec 17) to all NOAA affiliates to ensure that everyone had at least one useable WES8.2 DVD. Both versions are identical and either can be used to install WES8.2. WES 8.2 Patches Now AvailableTwo patches for WES 8.2 have been released. Everyone using WES 8.2 needs to install these patchs! Please visit the patch websites for more information. WES 8.2 Now AvailableWES 8.2 is the latest version of NOAA's NWS Weather Event Simulator developed and distributed by WDTB / CIMMS on December 7, 2007. Although WES 8.2 is a standalone install DVD (requires no previous versions of WES), NOAA users should install WES 8.2 on the same machine on which the “WES machine replacement disk image” was previously installed. This will minimize problems with operating system conflicts. WES 8.2 is available via ftp for non-NOAA collaborators. To get your own copy of WES 8.2, please follow these request instructions. WES 8.2 TrainingA short overview of WES 8.2 entitled "WES8.2 Overview Training" is currently posted in the Learning Management System (LMS) for NOAA users. To view, simply log into the LMS and search for WES8.2. Access to this training module will be provided to Non-NOAA users in the WES 8.2 download instructions. What's new in WES 8.2
